Coffee Cake Pound Cake

by Southern Living A mix of two southern specialties: coffee cake and pound cake Ingredients PECAN STREUSEL 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar  1/2 cup all-purpose flour  1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 cup butter  3/4 cup chopped pecans POUND CAKE BATTER 1 cup finely chopped pecans 1 cup butter, softened  2 1/2 cups granulated sugar  6 large eggs  3 cups all-purpose flour  1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 (8-oz.) container sour cream  2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar  1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon Preparation 1. What We Could All Learn From Sweden's Coffee-Break Ritual

In Italy, cappuccinos are only meant for the morning and in Vietnam, coffee comes with a thick layer of sweetened condensed milk. In many parts of Europe coffee is quickly consumed while standing at a cafe, and in the United States, we often take our coffee -- or dessert-like coffee beverages -- to go. Sweden has a coffee culture all its own, and a new book calledFika: The Art Of The Swedish Coffee Break explains what that culture looks like.
